The QUALITY
of your source data is a constant issue with data conversions. Now UCT's DATA ANALYSIS tools, completely integrated within the data conversion mapping function, help you to verify character and numeric source data, perform cross-field verifications, and keep running counts and track totals, dynamically as the conversion proceeds. You can use logic routines like values tests in the conversion process to conditionally report on data formats and values, and to conditionally direct the conversion logic depending on audit results.

You can perform these evaluations either before or during the actual conversion process. Audits can be applied to specific fields or copybooks, or globally to all fields referenced by a data map. In addition, specific audit commands can be referenced within the data map and included, for example, in IF statements, allowing you to create LOG reports for specific values or conditions.

With the Audit Tools you can create arrays of data cleansing rules for multiple values and fields, and then reference these from elsewhere in the data map, so that you can include values tests in the specific logic branching of the conversion processing.
